VVO goes Brüssel! Am 15. Juli 2025 wurde die neue Repräsentanz des österreichischen Versicherungsverbandes VVO im Beisein von Thea Utoft Høj Jensen, Generalsekretärin von Insurance Europe durch VVO-Generalsekretär Christian Eltner eröffnet.

„Das VVO-Büro in Brüssel ist ein bedeutender Meilenstein in der 125-jährigen Geschichte des Verbandes und ein klares Bekenntnis zu unseren Werten und Zielen“, sagt Christian Eltner. „Brüssel ist das Herz europäischer Entscheidungsprozesse – und genau hier wollen wir präsent sein. Unsere neue Präsenz ermöglicht es uns, näher an den politischen und wirtschaftlichen Schnittstellen zu agieren, den Dialog zu intensivieren und die Relevanz unserer Themen auf europäischer Ebene zu unterstreichen.“

Der VVO rückt damit auch noch näher an seine internationalen Netzwerkpartner von Insurance Europe heran. Als Gründungsmitglied von Insurance Europe bekennt sich die österreichische Interessensvertretung von Anfang an zu den gemeinsamen Interessen der europäischen Versicherungswirtschaft. Mit dem Schritt nach Brüssel setzt der VVO ein deutliches Zeichen für aktive Mitgestaltung und sichtbar übernommene Verantwortung.

Office opening in Brussels – A strong signal for the industry

VVO goes to Brussels! On July 15, 2025, the new representative office of the Austrian Insurance Association (VVO) was opened by VVO Secretary General Christian Eltner in the presence of Thea Utoft Høj Jensen, Secretary General of Insurance Europe.

“The VVO office in Brussels is a significant milestone in the association’s 125-year history and a clear commitment to our values and goals,” says Christian Eltner. „Brussels is the heart of European decision-making processes – and this is exactly where we want to be. Our new presence will enable us to operate closer to the political and economic interfaces, intensify dialogue, and underline the relevance of our issues at the European level.“
