VVO in Brussels: Excellent networking at our new office in the heart of the EU

We were delighted to welcome partners and colleagues to our networking event in Brussels on October 20th.

The get-together marked the official opening of our new office at the “house of insurance” straight in the heart of the European quarter.

The pleasant evening was filled with inspiring conversations, fruitful talks and current insights as we continue to grow our engagement close to important decision-makers and other stakeholders. This milestone is a new chapter that also reflects our commitment in fostering collaboration with our European partners such as InsuranceEurope.

At the heart of European decision-making

As a founding member of Insurance Europe, it has always been important for the VVO to work support and promote the common interests of the industry, not only nationally, but particularly also at European level. The steady increase in EU regulation over the last years makes a presence in Brussels ever more important.

With this new office in Brussels, the VVO is sending a clear signal for greater visibility, stronger dialogue, and the relevance of Austrian insurance issues at the European level.

In order to support various EU initiatives within the European legislative process, the VVO actively engages in close cooperation with Insurance Europe, the EU Representation of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, like-minded institutions etc. Cross-sector issues such as prudential framework provisions, sustainability, digitalization, and distribution are addressed, as are general questions of EU regulation.
